About

In 2007, Revka Stearns launched Berries and Cream Blog Design, a one-person design studio dedicated to creating quality blog designs for mommy bloggers and Work At Home moms. After a time, however, it became clear that another group – solopreneurs – needed and wanted Revka’s help.

As a long-time solopreneur herself, Revka understood the daunting challenges that are an everyday occurrence in the life of a solopreneur. She knew that being a solopreneur who has to do everything yourself is often overwhelming and counter-productive, and she was glad to offer a helping hand to make other solopreneurs’ load a bit lighter.

After working with several solopreneurs, Revka decided to launch Solopreneur Web Design so that she could better help solopreneurs succeed in their online ventures. It is our mission to take the burden of web design off your shoulders so that your time and effort can be used for the things you are good at doing, which is what will make you money. Your needs are our focus, and your satisfaction is our goal.

I love my work. (My husband thinks I love it a little too much.) I feel blessed to be able to have my own business doing something that doesn’t feel like work.

I particularly enjoy working with solopreneurs. The years I have spent as a solopreneur have given me a first-hand knowledge of the joys and frustrations you experience daily. Our common experiences give me a unique understanding of what you need.

I take great pleasure in handling the web design portion of your business so that you are free to concentrate on other areas of your business. My goal is for each client to receive the personal care and attention you deserve.

I live in North Carolina and am wife to a wonderful man I affectionately call “Mr. Incredible.” We have three daughters and one son – Pookie Bear (7), Miss Muffet (6), Baby Bear (5), and Buddy Bear (2). Our fifth child is due to be born March, 2011.

I am a graphic design professional with over 25 years of experience.

I have been in love with creative pursuits my whole life. In college, my creative repertoire grew to include graphic design, illustration and marketing.

I am currently pursuing my lifelong passions of baking, writing and illustration. In addition to working with Solopreneur Web Design and Berries and Cream Blog Design, I teach Photoshop at a nearby college and also have another business, Amazing Sweets, where I create attractive and delectable dessert tables for special functions.

I live in the metropolitan Detroit area with my six-year-old daughter.

I am so excited to be a part of the design team for Solopreneur Web Design.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA). I spent years in the corporate world, doing budget work, software analysis, software training and was the Chief Financial Officer for an organization before I made the decision to leave the corporate world and focus on my growing family.

My dream was to use the degrees and experience that I have to be able to work from home. I am very blessed to have two young children and a wonderful husband and have the opportunity to work and help others from my home along the beautiful Gulf Coast.

It is my passion, to work with people (especially women) and help design an online showcase for their passions and dreams…whether it is a small business, entrepreneurial endeavor or a website to showcase their family or organization. I have a good understanding of how small businesses operate and their design and development needs.

It gives me great joy to be a part of this process and to create beautiful designs. It is a pleasure to be a part of the Solopreneur Web Design team.

As a former corporate graphic designer and marketing coordinator, I know the stress that comes from trying to create an online presence for yourself and your company that stands out from the crowd. And as a blog writer myself, I know how difficult it can be to focus on your content when you’re trying to get the design and layout of your site the way you want it.

I’ve always enjoyed creating, from magazine collages when I was a child to website and print design as an adult. I love taking people’s visions and ideas and transforming it into a completed design.

I’m thrilled to be working with Solopreneur Web Design doing just that.
